About Carrie’s approach to serving vulnerable populations

With a career spanning 35 years, Carrie Bartsch has dedicated her life to working with vulnerable populations, leaving an indelible mark across North America. Carrie's expertise lies in providing training and facilitation to empower those supporting individuals facing challenges in housing and homelessness, seniors care, youth programs, early childhood development, and those with disabilities.

Carrie's impact has reached far and wide, having been contracted throughout Canada and the United States to share her wealth of knowledge. She has successfully provided training, support, and consultation to an impressive 102 different communities. Her commitment to fostering positive change has made her a sought-after resource in the field.

Carrie's journey is not only professional but deeply personal. As a youth, she faced the challenges of growing up in an environment where alcoholism cast a shadow over her family. At the age of 16, tragedy struck when she lost her mother in a devastating accident. Her father's struggles with alcoholism further fractured the family, leaving Carrie and her two sisters without a stable home.

Having experienced the impact of others taking control and dictating the course of her life, Carrie draws from her lived experience to champion a Person-Centered approach. Carrie's dedication to transforming the lives of those facing adversity is evident in the trainings she offers. By centering her approach around the individual, she strives to create a supportive environment that enables people to reclaim agency over their lives.

In every community she touches, Carrie Bartsch leaves behind a legacy of compassion, understanding, and a fervent belief in the transformative power of Person-Centered care. Her work continues to inspire positive change, one community at a time.
